Pumpkin Body Wrap
It’s no trick, this treatment is a treat! Spa L’Auberge’s Pumpkin Body Wrap is a deeply relaxing body wrap, shower and massage. The treatment begins with a pumpkin enzyme wrap to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and nourish depleted skin to a vibrant glow. Rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants as well as caffeine, the enzyme wrap provides the ultimate in cellulite reduction therapy. Spa-goers are treated to a scalp and neck massage while wrapped to absorb the pumpkin goodness. After a shower, spa guests sink into a long customized massage using pumpkin body butter with a blend of cocoa, mango, and shea butters to deeply moisturize and smooth the skin. The treatment concludes with a delicious Pumpkin Pie Pop to tantalize the taste buds.
The Pumpkin Body Wrap is offered in an 80 minute treatment for $160 (regularly $180) or 110 minute treatment for $215 (regularly $250). For reservations or more information, call 858-793-6493 or visit www.laubergedelmar.com.
Tips For Keeping The Glow All Season Long
Keeping the relaxed glow in between spa appointments can be a challenge, especially once the holiday season revs up. Spa Director Misty Stewart shares some simple, at-home tips that can help guests stay at the top of their game this fall.
Exfoliate: Be sure to exfoliate the face and body at least once a week. For the body, a dry brush works great and not only aids in the removal of dead skin cells, but also helps circulatory and lymphatic systems. Start at the feet and brush upwards toward the heart, then finish off with the arms, starting at the fingertips.
Yoga/Stretching: Daily stretching or yoga can help relieve stress and stiffness in the muscles caused by holding patterns from sitting at a computer, desk or driving. Forward bending poses, deep breaths and inversions help to get the blood flowing to the head, increasing oxygen and encouraging renewal.
Hydrotherapy: Water has so many amazing therapeutic benefits! Try a bath with salts to detoxify and relieve muscle aches or essential oils for relaxation. Another option is to alternate hot and cold water to speed healing to different areas. This can be done in the shower, bath, or with a steam room or dry sauna.
Hydration: Drinking water helps flush the body of toxins, allowing the body to renew and heal. Keeping the skin properly hydrated is also crucial to this process so be sure you regularly moisturize both face and body.
