In addition to the popular private cabana options around the pool and terraces, this year L'Auberge will introduce Club1540, an exclusive club within the party. Beat the Odds In A Private Cabana
The best odds are placed on the private cabanas and tables available for booking for personal parties. Strategically placed on the Sunset and Pacific Terraces with spectacular ocean views or poolside in the midst of the action, each space is designed to provide a chic, comfortable, private space from which to enjoy the festivities. Personal waitstaff attend to every need.
The LDM "Vodka Julep"
During race season, guests can stop by anytime for the hotel's special summer cocktail that pays tribute to the signature drink of the Kentucky Derby- the Mint Julep. At L'Auberge Del Mar, it is a "Vodka Julep" with a distinctive Southern California flair. Created by a L'Auberge Del Mar mixologist, the drink is a mixture of Grey Goose Vodka, Pernod Absinthe, mint leaves and simple syrup, which is muddled and served on the rocks. It's a refreshing way to cap off a day at the races.
About Del Mar Thoroughbred Club
Since its break from the gate in 1937, Del Mar has earned its place as one of the prestige Thoroughbred racing venues in the world. It was built by a partnership including Bing Crosby, actors Pat O'Brien, Gary Cooper, Joe E. Brown, Charles S. Howard and Oliver Hardy and when Del Mar opened, Bing Crosby was at the gate to personally greet the fans. On August 12, 1938, the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club hosted a $25,000 winner-take-all match race between Charles S. Howard's Seabiscuit and the Binglin Stable's colt, Ligaroti, in an era when horse racing ranked second in popularity with Americans to Major League Baseball. Each summer season, Del Mar combines world-class Thoroughbred racing with exciting entertainment and promotions from rock n' roll concerts to premium giveaways and family events to create a heart-pounding experience for everyone. For the past thirteen years, Del Mar has ranked among the top North American racetracks in total daily average attendance. For more information, visit www.dmtc.com.
