All of us may not have the luxury to receive an amazing foot treatment at Spa L’Auberge, but there are some things you can do to help relieve one of your most important body parts.
Our feet contain numerous nerve endings from all over our body. Because of this, Reflexology is a proven therapy in many nations. Listed below are some things you can do to help relieve tension throughout the body all while making your feet feel absolutely amazing.
1. While you are working at your desk, doing the dishes or just talking on the phone at home, take a golf ball (or tennis ball if your feet are really sensitive) and roll it under the bottom of one foot then switch to the other for five minutes.
2. Soak your feet in a tub or large bowl of Epsom Salts and a few drops of your favorite essential oil. We love Rosemary because of its invigorating and uplifting benefits.
3. Stretch out your feet and toes. Stand on a step with just the balls of your feet and let one heel lower down of a deep calf stretch. Hold for a few seconds, then switch feet. Repeat 8 times. Then, sit down and rotate each toe one at a time in circular motions-3 times clockwise and 3 times counter clockwise.
